Brian Tsuyoshi Takeda is the founder and CEO of Urchinomics, a pioneering ecologically restorative aquaculture venture that aims to produce high quality ranched sea urchins while restoring kelp forests, sequestering CO2 from our oceans, and creating meaningful employment in coastal, rural communities around the world.
Urchinomics is scaling its operations in Japan and Canada, while conducting pilot trials in the United States, Australia, Taiwan, Norway, Spain and Portugal.
Since founding Urchinomics, Brian has been a speaker and presenter at the UN FAO conference on fisheries and aquaculture, as well as numerous other industry and national conferences.
Prior to founding Urchinomics, Brian was the Director for Innovation and Strategy at Kaston AS, Director of Marketing at Norway Pelagic, and founder and CEO of Muzi Tea. Brian is a graduate of the Queen´s University School of Business. He is married with 3 children and living in Ulsteinvik, Norway.
